As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in our Emergency Medicine department, responding to a variety of urgent medical issues and overseeing patient treatment protocols. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical care, while also having the chance to contribute to clinical procedures and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients Assess and manage patient conditions in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals Document patient history and treatment plans accurately Supervise and train junior medical staff as necessary Conduct examinations and diagnostic tests Participate in departmental meetings and committees Adhere to all medical protocols and regulations
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Valid medical license in the state of practice Experience in Emergency Medicine (Associate level preferred) Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Keen observational skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to professional development and continuing education
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 80k patients
Support Staff: APPs, potentially another MD
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
