JOB SUMMARY The LPN is at the forefront of Proactive MD’s clinical operations and is a champion of our Patient Promise: “We are only and always about the patient.
We Promise to fight for their greatest good.” As directed by the provider, the LPN assists the provider and performs appropriate tests and procedures.
The LPN is responsible for administrative tasks for the health and wellness center and may assist the Patient Advocate in employee engagement and outreach.
Clinic Address: 6543 MS-15, Ecru, Mississippi, 38841 Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6am-5pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with and documents treatments ordered and supervised by the provider or registered nurse.
Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Interviews patients, measure vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and performs select clinical duties.
Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
Performs basic inventory management of supplies and assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Associate degree and active certification as an LPN or LVN Current certification in Basic Life Support Minimum one-year clinical experience as LPN Recent experience drawing blood.
Knowledge of HIPAA PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.
