Encompass Medical Group is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist (Echo/Vascular) within Premier Imaging, our Radiology Department, located at our Wornall office. Join our team and share your skills and talents with a leading provider of healthcare services.
Performs quality ultrasound and Doppler examinations to assist the physicians in diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
Provides quality patient care and assessment.
Evaluates images in accordance with professional practice standards.
Participates in quality assurance activities and maintains appropriate credentials related to clinical practice.
Must be registered in general ultrasound and/or vascular ultrasound.
Collects pertinent data about the patient and procedure to provide appropriate imaging services.
Confirms patient identification and pregnancy status when appropriate.
Performs diagnostic ultrasound and vascular procedures using professional judgement and discretion.
Determines appropriate use of shielding or other accessory equipment.
Administers first aid or provides life support in emergency situations.
Monitors the patient’s physical and mental status during the procedure.
Operates ultrasound equipment/devices, performs accurate anatomical investigation using the ultrasound imaging technique to properly image abnormalities.
Documents patient data, procedures, and relevant information as determined by practice standards.
Evaluates ultrasound images for proper technical quality.
Produces additional imaging as needed to provide appropriate outcome.
Performs and documents quality assurance activities based on established quality protocols.
Provides health care services with respect for patient’s dignity and age-specific needs.
Adheres to accepted standards, policies, and procedures adopted by the profession and regulated by law.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Practices infection control, prevent cross-contamination to patients and instruments.
Maintains appropriate credentials, continuing education, and certification related to clinical practice.
Understands how to verify that reports are in the EMR chart and completed in a timely fashion.
Performs proper charging in the EMR for examinations performed.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Must be a graduate of a JCERT-accredited Ultrasound Technology program and hold ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification. Previous experience in Echo and vascular ultrasound is required.
