The Nurse Practitioner performs physical exams, preventive health measures, and acute care for family and internal medicine patients. They are responsible for ordering diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, and prescribing medications.

Performs physical exams, preventive health measure, and acute care for both family medicine and internal medicine patients.
Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s health care needs.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
Discusses care with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans.
Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.

Candidates must hold NP/PA licensure for Missouri and Kansas and have completed an accredited NP/PA program. Certification in Diabetic Education or the ability to obtain it is required.
