The Registered Nurse implements the Nursing Process and adheres to patient care policies in accordance with New York State licensure requirements. Responsibilities include providing evidence-based nursing care and utilizing critical thinking to prioritize patient needs within the Cardiac Rehab team.

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum
Experience: Cardiology/Telemetry experience preferred.
Required
Certification/Registration: Currently licensed and registered in NY State to practice as a registered professional nurse. Successful completion of BLS Provider Course. Successfully completes cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course within three months of hire. ACLS prior to hire preferred. Maintains all required certifications for the areas assigned.
Physical
Requirements: Position will primarily be medium to light work requiring lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required. Position requires 20% sitting and 80% standing or walking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken and written word is required.
Candidates must be a licensed Registered Nurse in New York State with BLS certification and the ability to complete a cardiac arrhythmia course. A baccalaureate degree in nursing and experience in Cardiology or Telemetry are preferred.
