The provider practices autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ psychiatric illnesses. Provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management and brief psychotherapy. Collaborates, consults and/or refers patients to a psychiatrist when appropriate to ensure quality patient care. Weekday role, hours approx. 8:00am-5:00pm Sees patients on a walk-in basis for urgent and non-urgent mental health care Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Provides psychiatric evaluations Provides diagnostic, prescriptive pharmacological treatments and follow-up medication management to patients Demonstrates expertise in the interpretations of biopsychosocial data regarding client status and assumes accountability and responsibility for interventions prescribed Treats crisis situations and emergencies, as needed
