About the role

Perform basic laboratory procedures, including the collection of blood and urine specimens and conducting CLIA waived testing. Handle receptionist duties, data entry, and ensure accurate medical documentation for billing and records.

**Training at an approved school for phlebotomy or medical assistant is required.

Job Title: Lab Assistant

Status: PRN

Summary/Objective

Perform basic laboratory procedures under the supervision of Medical Laboratory Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT).

Responsible for the collection of specimens such as blood and urine, performing CLIA waived testing and reporting of results.

Laboratory Assistants may be required to travel to other sites off campus to provide phlebotomy services.

The age range of patients range from newborn to geriatric.

Phlebotomy experience preferred.
