About Illinois Pain & Spine Institute Illinois Pain & Spine Institute has been a leader in interventional pain management for more than 25 years, serving patients throughout the greater Chicago area. Our physicians, including Castle Connolly Top Doctors, specialize in minimally invasive treatments that help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.

What You'll Do As a Registered Nurse, you'll play an essential role in guiding patients safely through their surgical experience—from pre-operative preparation through recovery and discharge.

Responsibilities

include:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings
  • Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures
  • Identify and communicate changes in patient condition
  • Develop and update individualized nursing care plans
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care
  • Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum one (1) year of Operating Room (OR) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • CPAN certification preferred

Requirements
