Position Overview The Clinical Dietitian screens patients for nutritional risk and responds to nutrition consults as ordered by providers and the health care team. The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy for disease prevention and management to produce positive patient outcomes in the inpatient and outpatient setting for patients identified at nutrition risk and those referred by consult. UHS Medical Oncology Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience ----- Education/Experience Minimum Required: Masters Degree from an accredited dietetics program (a bachelor's degree will be accepted for those who are grandfathered in based on the guidelines set forth by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (those who graduated with their bachelor's degree in an accredited dietetics program prior to January 1, 2024) Successful completion of a supervised practice program for nutrition Must be eligible to sit for the registration examination for Dietitians.
Previous clinical experience in an acute care teaching facility.
Eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Successful completion of the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 6 months of hire date. Obtains NYS certification as a dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) within 1 (one) year of hire or after passing the Registration Examination for dietitians.
