The Physical Therapist Assistant provides therapy services and delivers treatment programs under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Key duties include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients on mobility and assistive devices.
Carry out PT treatment plans for individuals and groups. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities as directed. Educate patients on mobility and assistive devices. Document treatment and patient response. Report changes to supervising PT. Qualifications Associate’s Degree from accredited PTA program. Current state PTA license. Clinical experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- KSAs Knowledge of therapy techniques and equipment. Ability to follow treatment directions. Strong interpersonal skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients safely. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching. Work in long-term care and healthcare environments.
