Complete Primary Care is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join its team based in Danvers, Massachusetts. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with clinical and administrative duties, maintaining accurate patient records, and promoting efficient, professional, and compassionate patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medical history, and medications Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during office visits Perform clinical duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice as directed by the provider Assist with medication administration and other clinical procedures as appropriate Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination rooms and clinical supplies Document patient information accurately in Athena Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Coordinate laboratory testing, referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care Respond to patient phone calls and portal messages within scope of practice Assist with prescription refill requests and patient follow-up communications Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care as directed by the provider Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control standards at all times Support providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and outstanding patient experiences Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required At least 2 years of medical practice experience. Preference for primary care/ family medicine Current Medical Assistant credential strongly preferred (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) Current CPR/BLS certification preferred Experience with Athena EMR or other electronic medical record systems preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism Compensation & Benefits: Hourly Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and retirement benefits Paid time off and paid holidays Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Supportive, collaborative, and patient focused work environment Complete Primary Care is an equal opportunity employer.
