The Peer Recovery Coach facilitates meaningful conversations to help members create and meet their own recovery goals. They provide consultation to the team to reinforce a recovery-centered culture and respond to critical mental health emergencies with de-escalation skills.

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
Expected starting wage range is $23.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
High School Diploma or GED required
Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment
One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.

San Bernardino Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) is an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program and serves 50 unduplicated clients, ages 18+, that may have a history of frequent psychiatric hospitalizations and a history of homelessness.
