  • 8-hr shifts, Monday –
  • Friday, 8:00a – 5:00p (lunch 12-1)

Call: Shared call rotation

Location: Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster NH, 1-2 days a month in Colebrook NH

Job Summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking a full-time General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our orthopedic team in the beautiful White Mountains of northern New Hampshire. This is an opportunity to build a rewarding practice while caring for a diverse patient population in a close-knit rural community where your expertise will have a meaningful impact.

We are seeking a true general orthopedic surgeon who enjoys the breadth and variety of general orthopedic practice and is comfortable caring for patients across the lifespan, with a strong emphasis on the musculoskeletal needs of an aging population.

The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions involving bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. This includes performing surgical procedures such as joint replacement (hip, knee, and shoulder), fracture care, and possible common hand procedures including carpal tunnel and trigger finger release, and other general orthopedic surgeries. Experience evaluating and consulting on spine and back pain is preferred.

You'll work alongside experienced primary care providers, rehabilitation specialists, pain management clinicians, and other medical specialists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care while enjoying an exceptional work-life balance in a welcoming rural community. This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, surgery, and shared call responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical College with a Medical Degree
  • Successful completion of a ACGME Orthopedic residency program
  • Ability to obtain a NH medical license
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required

Requirements

Candidates must have a Medical Degree from an accredited college and have successfully completed an ACGME Orthopedic residency program. A valid NH medical license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association are required.
