Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Coordinate with community services and maintain clinical documentation under professional supervision.
Education: Students enrolled in a master’s program and/or doctoral degree (counseling, social work, psychology, etc.) Experience: It is preferred that applicants for the internship program have already completed coursework related to therapeutic interventions, group counseling, and assessment/diagnosis of mental health conditions. This internship is best for individuals in their second year of graduate school or recently graduated and seeking pre-licensed supervised experience.
Familiarity with the ASAM level-of-care criteria is preferred but not mandatory. Solid communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic records, is required. CPR and first-aid certification (the agency pays for initial training and renewals). Valid driver's license and insurability.

ENVIRONMENT: This position involves working at the facility. A combination of office and clinical settings with a high degree of patient interaction.
