Assist counseling staff in delivering alcohol and drug-related services within a residential unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, maintaining unit cleanliness, and transporting patients to appointments.
Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn the dynamics of substance misuse, alcohol, and its effects. It is preferred that candidates have prior experience working in a substance misuse setting or a human services agency.
Able to communicate effectively. Must be able to follow directions. CPR and First-Aid certification (the agency will cover all training and renewal fees). Valid driver's license and insurability. Basic computer skills are necessary for this position. A Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification is preferred but not required.
