Where You’ll Work The subacute occupational therapy services at Bruceville Terrace assist residents in rebuilding independence in essential daily tasks and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) over an extended period, promoting adaptation and participation in preparation to transition to a lower level of care.

One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations.
You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.
Provides Effective and Adequate Treatment: Implements effective and adequate treatment following department guidelines Patient/Family Education and Training: Addresses patient/family education.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
Preferred Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapist and a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
