Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Overview Registered Nurse – Oncology (Travel) in Glens Falls, New York. Start date 10/01/2026 for a 13-week assignment in a hospital-based outpatient infusion center setting. Weekly pay range: $1,779–$1,907 per week.

day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. This assignment involves infusion-specific oncology care in a hospital outpatient environment; COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not required. Travel RN role with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oncology/infusion nursing care in an outpatient setting
• Administer IV therapies (antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, IVIG, iron infusions) and manage related therapies
• Manage central venous access devices and PICC line care and placement support
• Monitor patients during infusions, identify and respond to adverse reactions, and document care
• Perform phlebotomy as needed and assist with laboratory draws
• Educate patients on self-administration of medications and infusion care; document in EPIC
• Maintain strict aseptic technique, safety protocols, and adherence to de-escalation policies
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the infusion team to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements

• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required up front
• Active New York RN license
• Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required
• EPIC experience required - 2+ years current outpatient oncology and infusion experience
• Peripheral IV insertion, Port/Fistula/Catheter experience
• IV Certification (highly preferred)
• De-escalation training completed (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) for onboarding - 14-panel drug screen to be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• RTO: No more than 5 days accepted; plan accordingly
• BSN preferred
