Position Overview

Western State Hospital is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant/Therapy Assistant to work with the physical therapist to improve client's function, by eliminating functional limitations and preventing disability and maximize the client's functional independence while respecting their psychiatric function.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide PT intervention to clients based on physical therapy evaluation; providing mobility consults; procuring assistive devices and adjustments as needed
• Provide documentation for PT services to justify services and document progress and complete assigned unit client initial assessments in conjunction with other licensed rehab staff
• Produce written evidence that PSR interventions have been carried out
• Develop and implement PSR group interventions across all PSR Learning Centers
• Order clinic supplies as needed
