The EKG Technician performs all types of electrocardiograms across the hospital and responds to Cardiac Response Teams. They also handle clerical tasks for Cardiovascular Labs and maintain specialized equipment and software.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Completes all types of electrocardiograms in all areas of the hospital. Responds to CRTs and performs EKGs as needed. Performs clerical tasks relating to tasks performed by the Cardiovascular Labs, (scheduling, processing reports, recording pertinent information into logs). Maintains equipment and keep updated. Maintains super user status for Pyramis and Vision Premier.
A high school diploma is required, while a vocational degree and one year of cardiac-related experience are preferred. Successful completion of an Arrhythmia Course is required within the first year of employment.
