About the Medical Assistant/Scribe Role

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their medical visits.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and attend to patient needs in person and over the phone
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing, including the collection and handling of samples.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of medical information.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Assist Physician with C-Arm
  • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Actively speak up and provide patient safety and patient experience recommendations.
  • Adhere to company-wide policy and procedures.

• The required skills for this position, such as medical assisting and phlebotomy, are utilized daily to ensure that patients receive timely and effective care. Proficiency in using medical instruments and performing sterilization techniques is essential for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ Experience at a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record systems (EHR) preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
