  • Summary: The RN, Kenmare Rehab provides skilled nursing care to patients receiving rehabilitative services within an inpatient rural hospital setting. This role performs comprehensive assessments, monitors patient progress, and delivers individualized nursing interventions that support recovery, mobility, and functional improvement. Working collaboratively with therapy teams, physicians, and support staff, the RN helps coordinate care plans, reinforce patient education, and support safe transitions throughout the rehabilitation process. As part of a close-knit, team-oriented care environment, this position promotes patient safety, healing, and a supportive rehabilitative experience through attentive monitoring and ongoing communication with patients and families.

  • Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor changes in patient condition to guide individualized rehabilitative care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with provider orders and established clinical standards. Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams to reinforce mobility goals, safety practices, and patient progress. Document assessments, interventions, and care coordination activities accurately in the electronic health record. Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations, self-care strategies, and discharge planning to support functional independence. Participate in safety, quality, and performance-improvement activities that enhance the effectiveness of rehabilitative care.
