Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history. Assist providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed. Provide patient education and comfort, review after-visit instructions, and conduct follow-up calls. Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and clinic logs per protocol. Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff effectively. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and safety standards. Participate in clinic meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Current Iowa certification as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or CMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA) Clinical experience preferred Epic experience a plus!
Candidates must hold a current Iowa certification as an EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or CMA from an accredited program. Clinical experience and proficiency with Epic software are preferred.
