ABOUT THIS ROLE: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct support services to individuals receiving services through Impact Support Services. The CNA works directly with individuals to support participation in meaningful activities, increase independence, implement individualized goals, and ensure health, safety, and well-being in-home, community, and program settings. Support individuals in center-based and community-based day activities.
Facilitate participation in recreational, habilitative, and skill-building activities.
Assist with activity preparation and program setup. JOB SUMMARY: CNAs provide person-centered support through personal care assistance, health monitoring, medication-related support as authorized, positive engagement, skill building, supervision, transportation assistance, and documentation. Essential Functions: Specific CNA tasks may be assigned when working with an individual requiring medical exception care Provide supervision, personal care assistance, medication administration (as applicable), and support with community participation. Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in program and community settings. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies, HIPAA, and program requirements. Communicate professionally with individuals, families, coworkers, and stakeholders. QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and team members. Ability to implement person-centered supports, adapt activities to individual needs, and effectively problem solve. Ability to complete accurate documentation, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional boundaries. Proficient in basic computer skills and able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. WHAT YOU BRING 18+ years of age High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the state of Missouri Valid driver’s license (ability to obtain Class E license within 14 days of hire) Proof of valid vehicle insurance Reliable ability to pass background and reference checks PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stay active throughout the day (standing, walking, sitting, using hands) Willingness to assist with lifting, repositioning, and personal care support when needed Ability to provide safe, attentive support during daily activities
Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma and a current Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant certification. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks are required.
