Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories. Administer respiratory therapies including medical gas delivery, nebulization, chest physiotherapy, airway management, and mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and neonatal patients. Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis, pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry Monitor patient physiological responses to treatments and adjust care or escalate concerns as appropriate. Manage artificial airways and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure patient safety and therapy effectiveness. Active member of the medical emergency response teams.

Qualifications

Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited program is required Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program is required License(s)/Certification(s): Must have current licensure in good standing to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in State(s) of Practice Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Must obtain within 90 days of hire: Mandatory Reporter Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Requirements

Requires an associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from a CoARC approved program and current state licensure. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and obtain BLS and ACLS certifications within 90 days of hire.
