We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our brand-new Adult Services program! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team from the very beginning--helping build a supportive, engaging environment for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Hope Adult Center are responsible for providing direct care, support, and supervision to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in both home and community settings. DSPs promote independence, ensure safety, and assist individuals in achieving their personal goals. FULL & PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE!
Required Clearances and Certifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support individuals with daily living skills, community integration, and personal goal achievement.
Promote individual choice, dignity, and respect in all interactions.
Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Behavior Support Plans as trained.
Assist individuals in participating in community outings, employment, and enrichment activities.
Complete daily service documentation and incident reports accurately and timely.
Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of individuals at all times.
Support individuals with daily life skill including personal hygiene, communication, and expectations.
Remain calm under stressful situations with individuals.
Administer medication and support health maintenance as required (with training).
Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Participate in ongoing training and staff development programs.
Compensation and Benefits
While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
