Why Work for Us Enjoy meaningful work in a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth Provide culturally sensitive oral health care, preventive education, professional training, and advocate for access for all Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s treatment plan Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments. Provide nutritional counseling Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents Qualifications Dental Hygienist license CPR/AED certification Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred Proficiency in a second language preferred Rochester Clinic Shift: Monday: 7:50am – 3pm Friday: 7:50am-2pm
