SUMMARY: The Medical Clerk requires the incumbent to provide administrative support to the Office Manager. The medical clerk is responsible for the maintenance and organization of patient charts. Job Duties & Essential Functions: File documents upon receipt. Scan and fax documents. Retrieve documents form the Electronic Medical Records, (EMR). Validate data for PQRS reporting. Answer and direct phone calls, document in EMR message center when required Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education & Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. 6 Months of Administrative Assistant and/or Medical Filing experience. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word. Must have excellent expressive and written communication skills. Must be highly organized. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
EMR experience preferred.
