Job Summary: The Echocardiography Technologist assists in all procedures performed in the Non Invasive Cardiac Laboratory (Echo) and is a member of the Cardiology Department.
Responsible and accountable for recording Echocardiograms/Doppler/Color Flow examinations using ultrasound equipment to provide data for diagnosis of heart ailments.
Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of all procedures and competency in the use of all related ultrasound equipment and computers.
Primary
Requires a vocational/technical diploma in ultrasound or sonography and at least one year of echocardiography experience. Must have BLS certification and obtain RDCS or CCI certification within one year of hire.
