About the role

Coordinate and deliver patient care in the Emergency Department following established standards of practice and federal guidelines. Supervise non-RN personnel and act as a preceptor for new staff and students.

Stamford Health is looking for a Fulltime Evening SHIFT ED RN to join the Emergency Department team!

This position is a FULLTIME Evening Shift position with the hours from 2pm to 3am, (3) 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • The Emergency Department Nurse will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
  • Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.
  • Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role.
  • Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.
  • Adhere to all Stamford Hospital’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture.

Qualifications

  • Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
  • ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of one-year ED RN experience required.

Requirements

Requires a valid Connecticut Registered Nurse license, an ASN degree, and BLS certification. A minimum of one year of experience as an ED RN is required, with a BSN preferred.
