About the role

Assists licensed therapists in delivering patient care and maintaining treatment areas according to infection control standards. Performs routine clerical tasks and manages inventory to support productive therapy sessions.

Job Requirements Rehab Tech Hours are M-F 8a-4: 30p, rotating Saturdays and some Holidays

Under the direction of a licensed therapist, assists in delivering patient care in the rehabilitation setting as described in State of Maryland Practice Acts. Performs routine tasks to help ensure productive therapy sessions such as maintaining treatment areas, preparing patients for therapy, and assisting in clerical tasks. Primary Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities performed. · Prepares and maintains treatment areas and equipment to adhere to appropriate infection control standards, as well as maintains logs to assure compliance. · Assists the licensed clinicians in the delivery of patient care as permitted by State of Maryland Practice Acts. · Assists in the training of new rehabilitation technicians. · Assists front office and clinicians with routine clerical tasks to support the patient care process. · Monitors and maintains inventory to assure adequate supplies. · Demonstrates patient-centered care and service. · Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Experience: No experience required ·
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire Education & Experience - Preferred ·
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained prior to hire Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities · Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills. · Interpersonal skills to enable the technician to establish and maintain rapport with team members, patients, and families. · Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team. · Ability to manage time and set priorities according to the demands of the job. · Ability to conceptualize and problem-solve when assisting with patient care. · Ability to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the organization. · Ability to maintain confidentiality with patients and team members. · Ability to effectively use various pieces of medical and therapeutic equipment within scope.
