Key Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

Provide evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence, upper extremity function, cognition, and activities of daily living.

Utilize the ADL Suite to deliver realistic, goal-oriented functional training.

Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with California practice guidelines.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.

Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, safety recommendations, and equipment use.
