Responsibilities

Participate as a member of the Individual Treatment Team; Provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, with some interventions directed or performed by staff with specialty training. Provide individual vocational-supportive counseling to enable persons served to identify vocational strengths and problems, establish vocational and career goals and plans to reach them and recognize and target symptoms of mental illness that interfere with work; Plan and provide work-related supportive services, such as assistance with grooming and personal hygiene, securing of appropriate clothing, wake-up calls, and transportation; Teach job seeking skills and conduct on the job performance assessments and evaluations, regular work review sessions with person served and their employers, on the job support, and crisis assistance contacts; Perform job coaching, problem solving, and support on and off the job; May assess client, family, and environments, including transporting persons in corporate and/or personal vehicles and conducting regular home visits; Assists in providing crisis coordination for individuals on the caseload who are in a personal, social, or medical crisis requiring assistance within 24 hours; Prepares reports, applications, and supporting documentation as requested by the supervisor within the time lines established by that supervisor; Attends workshops, conferences, and meetings and may participate in committees as agreed upon with the supervisor, presents information to other staff, as requested. Recognizes and utilizes AWARE’s Core Values, Unconditional Care Philosophy, and wrap around philosophy focused on client and family engagement; Attends and participates in mandatory training, in-services, staff meetings, and committees as assigned and noted in AWARE’s Employee Handbook; Attends and participates in mandatory training, in-services, abuse prevention/mandatory reporting training, staff meetings, and Corporate Committees as assigned. Upon hiring, the employee will undergo training and will be expected to pass testing in the following areas: H.E.L.P (de-escalation and therapeutic holds), First Aid/CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, Safety Health Emergency and Disaster (SHED) Safety, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), HIPPA, Professional Care Giver, and AWARE’s Behavioral Competency (ABC), as well as Personal Support Plan Development Training, MONA, Electronic Health Care, Individual Costs Plan; Must demonstrate – on a consistent basis – the willingness and ability to productively utilize work time in order to meet the needs of the individuals being served as directed, with the understanding that specific fiscal goals (billing, case load number maintenance, weekly) must be met monthly. Records notes, billing, assessments, referrals, and other data entry assignments via AWARE’s Electronic Healthcare Record System. Perform other duties as assigned. Excited to join our organization? Requirements

Talents, skills, and abilities: High School Diploma or HSE required; Two years of experience working in the mental health field. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License; along with maintaining an acceptable driving record; as well as an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
