Memory Care of Conta Costa is seeking a Medication Aide to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents who need assistance in accordance with state regulatory stipulations and requirements for safe administration.
Observe the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects.
Document the required information in the residents’ medication administration records.
Communicate any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator or designated personnel.
Support residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
Encourage resident independence, support resident choice and preserve resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
Maintain up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations.
Interact with residents in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
