The Surgical Technician ensures a safe operating room environment and assists surgeons and nurses during operative procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with patient triage and managing instrument care in the Labor and Delivery area.
The Surgical Technician, Labor and Delivery I is an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical and patient care.
Functions under the supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse to ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Assists with patients in triage.
Assists with the breakdown, and instrument care in the Labor and Delivery deck area.
