About the role

Provide emotional and logistical support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through crisis intervention and individual care plans. Coordinate with community organizations and facilitate support groups to ensure comprehensive service delivery for high-risk clients.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision of the Program Manager, or their designee, the Case Manager will provide support to victims and their children, consisting of emotional and logistical support needed to overcome the challenges of domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling by telephone or in person;
  • Collaborate with on-site consultants/clinicians to provide comprehensive services to high-risk clients;
  • Provide field accompaniment to clients as needed - medical, criminal justice, civil legal & social services;
  • Provide comprehensive assessments that will result in individual care plans;
  • Coordinate linkages and work collaboratively with community-based organizations to ensure accessibility and greater options for clients and their families;
  • Serve as the liaison with La Casa’s project partner
  • Develop and implement training or support programs, including vocational, educational, money management, life skills training, healthy relationships, and health education.
  • Assist in providing services that may include access to and referrals for health care; mental health, and substance abuse prevention and treatment; intimate partner/domestic violence, family support, vocational, educational, and employment services;
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, including phone coverage, site supervision, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution;
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff and case management meetings;
  • Maintain and submit program documentation in accordance with grant requirements;
  • Facilitate a variety of support groups;
  • Maintain a clean workspace, including but not limited to cleaning after yourself after all activities such as client interviews, usage of site facilities, kitchen(s), break rooms, and restrooms.
  • Other duties that are service site-specific as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Behavioral Sciences and a minimum of two (2) years verifiable case management experience in the relevant field or an Associate degree with 3 years verifiable case management experience in the relevant field, or a GED/High School diploma with 5 years of verifiable case management experience in the relevant field.

  • Clearance through DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting is required. La Casa de las Madres will consider applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with San Francisco’s Fair Chance Ordinance.
  • Valid CA driver's license may be required (depending on the position), clean driving record, and insurable under agency policy.
  • TB (Tuberculosis) clearance
  • Multi-lingual preferred: English/Spanish/Mandarin
