Responsibilities
- Assists in performing all duties associated with preparing, performing and completing a diagnostic and/or interventional angiographic procedure under the supervision of a physician.
- Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology.
- Responsible for all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Practices safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and themselves.
- Fosters teamwork through effective communication and flexibility in job duties.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited cardiovascular program or radiology program with cardiac experience.
- Cath lab or EP lab experience is preferred but not required for those with cardiac education background.
- Two years in either Cath or EP is preferred but not required.
- Organized, efficient, team-based attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to demonstrate effective communication.
- Ability to work varied hours and shifts.
- License or certification: Current CVT or RTR credential required; ACLS and BLS certifications required upon hire.
- Within six months of hire must obtain RCIS.
- RCES is required after 2 years of EP experience.
