About the role

The coordinator is responsible for the preparation of assigned rooms and cases, patient assessment, and anticipating surgical needs. They act as a service specialist, managing vendor relations and performing scrub, assist, or circulate roles to ensure timely turnovers.

Baptist Health is hiring an Ortho Clinical Resource Coordinator to join the Main OR team at Baptist Downtown. This is a full-time opportunity with 4 10 hour shifts per week, from 6am-4:30pm.

Clinical Resource Coordinator, Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for specific specialty for coordination, preparation of assigned rooms/cases, assessment of patients, anticipation of needs of the case
  • Facilitates any special needs of the surgeon, meets with vendors and keeps preference sheets current
  • Is the specialist for a given service
  • Is able to perform any role in the service - scrub, assist or circulate
  • Facilitates timely turnovers and 1st case starts

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 Years of Perioperative Nursing Experience Required.

Education & Credential Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Associate of Science, Nursing
