• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

• Work setting: Emergency Department (hospital-based travel nursing)

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide ongoing care for ED patients using age-appropriate criteria
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; administer medications and treatments; monitor responses
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team; coordinate patient flow and care transitions
• Float to all units within the individual’s skill level as needed and maintain competency across areas
• Educate patients and families; assist with discharge planning and patient teaching
• Document care accurately in the medical record and uphold safety, infection control, and quality standards

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or a Compact state (Nursys active) - 1+ year ED experience (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Ability to float to all units within skill level; able to work in a fast-paced ED environment
• Education: Graduate of an approved RN program; current licensure to practice as an RN
• Scheduling: Available for 7:00 PM–7:30 AM nights; every-other-weekend shifts
• Local policy note: Lima local traveler policy affects rate negotiations per guidelines
• Must maintain all required certifications and active license status throughout the assignment
