Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Key Highlights • Weekly pay

• $1,887–$1,973 per week
• Shift: 4x12 Night shifts
• Start date: 08/17/2026
• Contract duration: Weeks (travel assignment)
• Unit details: 19-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry with cardiac focus; block scheduling and every-other-weekend requirement; floating within scope

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adults and geriatrics on a MS/Tele unit with cardiac focus.
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, administer medications and IV therapies, manage peripheral lines, and provide oxygen as needed.
• Respond to rapid response activations and participate in code/rapid response teams as appropriate.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain isolation precautions/PPE, document care in the charting system, and support thorough handoffs during shift change.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care; provide patient and family education within scope of practice.

Requirements

• NY RN license in hand to submit
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification may be required per posting
• Cardiac and MS/Tele experience preferred; ability to interpret dysrhythmias
• Epic charting experience preferred; strong preference for submission with Epic
• Ability to float within unit scope; to meet facility needs
• RTO restrictions: not more than 1 week
• Local candidates: not accepted within 75 miles
• On-call: No
