Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Services team. As an Emergency Services Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a broad range of medical conditions while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
Your responsibilities will include: π Performing comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations
π©Ί Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries across a wide range of patient populations
π Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory studies, diagnostic imaging, and other tests
π Developing individualized treatment plans and prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Illinois law and collaborative practice agreements
β‘ Performing emergency procedures within your scope of practice and responding rapidly to changing patient conditions
π€ Collaborating closely with emergency physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to provide exceptional patient care
π₯οΈ Maintaining accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
β€οΈ Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

What we're looking for: β Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program
β Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure
β National Nurse Practitioner certification in an applicable specialty (FNP, AGACNP, or related specialty)
β Current BLS and ACLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
β Current DEA registration and Illinois Controlled Substance License
β Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
β Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care environment
β Excellent communication and collaboration skills
