Your responsibilities include: 🩺 Performing comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations 🧠 Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical judgment 📋 Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory studies, diagnostic imaging, and other tests 💊 Developing individualized treatment plans and prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Illinois law and collaborative practice agreements ❤️ Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning 🤝 Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, pharmacists, case management, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate exceptional patient care 🖥️ Maintaining accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) 📈 Supporting quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards What We're Looking For ✔ Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program ✔ Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure ✔ National Nurse Practitioner certification in an applicable specialty ✔ Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) ✔ ACLS certification (or ability to obtain if required) ✔ Current DEA registration and Illinois controlled substance license ✔ Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills ✔ Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced inpatient environment Why Your Work Matters As a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner, you'll care for patients during some of the most critical moments of their healthcare journey.
