About the role

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will administer anesthesia to patients undergoing various procedures and monitor their vital signs during these procedures. You will collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans and manage postoperative pain.

Description

This on-site, contract position offers a fantastic opportunity for qualified practitioners to provide high-quality anesthetic care within a supportive medical practice setting.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive anesthesia services to patients undergoing various procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficacy. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of surgical operations and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and therapeutic procedures Conduct preoperative assessments and consultations Monitor patients' vital signs and respond appropriately during procedures Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans Manage postoperative pain and provide recovery care Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anesthesia techniques and medications Educate patients and families about anesthesia and procedures Document all anesthesia procedures in patients' medical records accurately

Requirements

Valid medical degree (MD or DO) with a focus in Anesthesiology Associate-level experience in anesthesia practice preferred Board certification in Anesthesiology Strong clinical skills and proficiency in anesthesia techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a team environment Current state medical license and DEA registration Commitment to providing quality patient care and ensuring safety Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma

Schedule: 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts

582 med/surg beds, 40 ICU beds

39 onsite anesthetizing locations

Diverse caseload

Must be comfortable with pediatric patients

Care team model

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
