About the role

Provide exceptional, patient-focused care within a fast-paced Emergency Department utilizing a Professional Nursing Practice Model. Manage clinical practice and the working environment through a Shared Governance Model focused on evidence-based nursing.

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

Our Emergency Department (ED) is comprised of 50,000 square feet of clinical space with 55 treatment rooms.

An additional 8,000 square feet houses the resident room, library, conference space and administrative offices.

It also includes private rooms, in-department radiology suite, discharge pharmacy, waiting room and triage area, employee lounge and locker room, and five care areas (pods), including an 11-bed care pod for our crisis/behavioral health patients.

It is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods.

You will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year.

  • PM-7:30 AM, flex, every third weekend

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
  • One year of recent ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience is required.
  • Completion of an accredited associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
  • Certifications:
  • BLS for healthcare providers and ACLS are required through AHA.
  • NIHSS is required by time of hire.
  • TNCC and either PALS or ENPC - ability to obtain by time of hire.

Requirements

Requires a Minnesota RN license and at least one year of recent experience in ED, Critical Care, or ICU. Must hold a nursing degree and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with TNCC and PALS/ENPC obtainable by hire.
