WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) … A clinician in the Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) program plays a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health care to children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues. The primary objective of the clinician is to deliver individualized, evidence-based therapeutic interventions directly in the client’s home, supporting both the child and their family. Main
Provide home-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to children and families. Deliver comprehensive mental health services to children, parents, and families in various settings. Maintain client records. Serve as liaison with outside agencies and referral services. Coordinate team services to comply with recovery plans. Demonstrate innovative problem-solving, crisis intervention, and management skills. Collaborate within a team to offer interventions including therapy, crisis response, consultation, advocacy, and linkages. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure adherence to IICAPS credentialing requirements. Collaborate closely with the IICAPS Team Leader. Conduct evaluations and assist in formulating recovery goals and strategies for families and teams. Provide treatment in various settings such as homes, communities, and schools. Offer therapeutic interventions including child therapy, parent guidance, couple therapy, family therapy, crisis response, school consultation, case management, advocacy, and service delivery, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Maintain clinical records in the IICAPS BMS and CCGC's Credible web-based electronic health record. Meet documentation deadlines. Participate in supervision and case presentations. Interface with CCGC medication prescribers and families. Contribute to special projects such as consultation, prevention programs, and community education, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU… Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, family therapy or a related clinical field. Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred. LCSW and LMHC will also be considered. Minimum of two years of clinical work experience. Experience providing individual, group, and family psychosocial assessments and treatment. Demonstrate expertise in assessment, crisis intervention, and child and family therapy, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Have a solid commitment to your work and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Be credentialed to provide diagnostic and treatment services to children 0-18 and their families under a Licensed Clinician's supervision.
