Provides direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiology and radiology procedures in the cath lab. Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedural care, hemodynamic monitoring, and administering medications under physician supervision.
Overview This position is responsible for providing patients with diagnostic radiologic testing. This includes the proper management of workflow to ensure that all patients receive the best care possible.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirements)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Demonstrated clinical competency in the field of radiology. Developed verbal and written communication skills required, and strong interpersonal skills a must. A high degree of independent action and exercise of judgment is a must, along with a creative ability. Ability to work under required deadlines and schedules, while being flexible to handle special requests and projects. Ability to multi-task under stressful situations, and ability to professionally handle stressful situations. Ability to provide compassionate patient care. Must be detailed oriented. EDUCATION All post high school education must have been obtained from a recognized College or University. Additional education may be substituted for experience requirements should the substitution not conflict with State or Board certification/license requirements.
