Position overview

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool Critical Care Weekender Program on the Night Shift. This unique opportunity is ideal for skilled Critical Care nurses who thrive in dynamic clinical environments and enjoy the variety of working across multiple care settings. As a Weekender RN, you'll play a vital role in providing consistent weekend coverage while benefiting from premium compensation and a predictable schedule.

The ideal candidate brings strong Critical Care experience, sound clinical judgment, and the confidence to seamlessly adapt to different patient populations and unit needs. Successful nurses are flexible, collaborative team players with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Work Locations: UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY

There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Your recruiter and hiring manager will clarify expectations during the interview process.

Primary Work Shift

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Compensation Range

$44.77 - $67.15 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience • Minimum Required

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing
  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification • Minimum Required

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
  • CPR within 3 months of hire
  • ACLS within one year of hire
  • Preferred:
  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current New York State Registered Nurse License, CPR certification, and ACLS within one year. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and previous acute care experience are preferred.
