Overview The Cardiovascular Technologist in conjunction with other team members, and under the direct supervision of the Interventional cardiologist, provides direct specialized care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This position operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cath Lab. Education: Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or Paramedic program.
Position requires on-call. Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of call-in when on a call shift. Must own a telecom device capable of receiving call-in pages Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental or own vehicle.
Requires graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Paramedic program with current licensure. Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications and at least two years of pre-hospital paramedic experience or prior Cath Lab experience.
