Behavioral Health Clinician II (Licensed Therapist – Integrated Care)

As a Behavioral Health Clinician II, you will provide meaningful clinical care to individuals who may face significant barriers to accessing behavioral health services while partnering with medical providers, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to address the whole person - not just a diagnosis.
This is an advanced clinical role within a fast-paced, integrated healthcare environment. The Role
Provide individual and group psychotherapy services to clients with moderate to complex behavioral health needs within an integrated care setting.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches.
Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services, including coordination of higher levels of care when clinicallyindicated.
Manage an assigned caseload while balancing direct clinical care, documentation, care coordination, and client-centered treatment goals.
Provide clinical consultation and collaborate with medical providers, case managers, Alcohol and Other Drug Counselors, Detox Program staff, and multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
Participate in case conferences, treatment planning, referrals, and follow-up coordination to promote continuity of care and positive client outcomes.
Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation that supports medical necessity, continuity of care, and regulatory compliance.
Support quality improvement activities, clinical best practices, and ongoing program development efforts.
Desirable Candidate Profile
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, ora related field required.
Current and active California licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent required.
Minimum one (1) year of post-licensure clinical experience providing behavioral health services, preferably with individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, trauma, substance use disorders, or other complex psychosocial needs.
Experience working in integrated healthcare, community behavioral health, or other multidisciplinary care settings preferred.
CPR certification, or ability to obtain within the required time frame upon hire.

This is a full-time position that provides behavioral health services across both the Village Health Center Behavioral Health Clinic and the Detox Program. The regular schedule includes Saturday and Sunday in the Detox Program and three weekdays (Monday–Friday) in the Behavioral Health Clinic, with weekday assignments determined based on operational needs. While the position is not a dedicated crisis-response role, clinicians may occasionally respond to urgent clinical situations to support continuity of care.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated starting pay range for this role is $70,304 to $84,573 per year, paid bi-weekly. Final placement and starting pay rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, certification status, and internal equity considerations.
