The Weekend Program offers a weekend-only shift schedule with enhanced compensation. This program requires a 12-month commitment to work 48 scheduled weekends within a 12-month period, beginning with the first shift worked. Participants receive a Weekend Program Premium of $10/hour.
A travel allowance is available for eligible employees traveling greater than 75 miles one way.

Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in a surgical setting; scrub and circulate experience required Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specific service line: Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Plastics, ENT, or Neuro Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to excellence in patient care and professional growth
Candidates hired into this role will not participate in the Periop 101 program. Instead, they will complete a shortened, competency-based orientation developed by the education team at UVA Health Main OR. Orientation length will vary based on the candidate’s experience and skill level. Scrub experience is preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
