Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Staff Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric services across multiple facilities in the Dallas Texas area. This role requires a provider who is comfortable working in a rounding-based model, managing new admissions, and supporting ongoing patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility, efficiency, and strong clinical decision-making are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Conduct face-to-face inpatient psychiatric rounds Perform initial psychiatric evaluations and assessments Provide diagnostic clarification and treatment planning Manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and facility staff for continuity of care Document all encounters in a timely and compliant manner Travel between assigned facilities as scheduled
Schedule & Coverage Requirements Flexible availability is required Must be able to round at a minimum of 4 facility locations Expected to provide coverage 3–4 weeks per month Scheduling will be coordinated based on provider availability and facility needs
MD or DO with specialization in Psychiatry Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry preferred Active, unrestricted Florida medical license Active DEA license Experience in inpatient psychiatry and/or skilled nursing facilities (SNF) preferred Pain management experience is a strong plus Strong clinical, diagnostic, and documentation skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced rounding environment

Requires an MD or DO with a specialization in Psychiatry and an active DEA license. Preference is given to Board Certified/Eligible candidates with experience in inpatient psychiatry or skilled nursing facilities.
